First Story: Key Player Palmer Fit for Important London Clash with The Gunners

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca announced on the final weekday that Cole Palmer is ready to play for the team's vital top-flight encounter against local opponents Arsenal.

The 23-year-old England midfielder was unavailable due to a fractured toe incurred after an accidental occurrence.

“He is fit to begin and feature,” Maresca declared. “The whole team is delighted.”

This season, Palmer has featured in just four games in every contest, finding the net on two occasions.

After joining from City in the previous year, he has recorded 45 strikes and 29 setups in 101 games for Chelsea.

“He is our best player, we are happy he is back, we need to provide him with time to be completely ready,” Maresca added. “His past performances have been excellent and no doubt he is going to do exceptionally well for this club in the future.”

Second Story: Everton Receive No Reason for Failed Gueye Dismissal Appeal

Everton have failed in their challenge against Idrissa Gueye's sending off for a fight with teammate Michael Keane during the team's 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.

The 36-year-old Senegalese player was shown a red card just early on into the match after hitting Keane during a disagreement over a poor pass.

The player promptly expressed regret, and the pair appeared making up later in a light-hearted social media post.

However, the challenge against the red card was turned down, and Gueye must complete a three-game suspension, leaving Everton depleted for their next fixture against Newcastle United.

“We challenged the decision and it was rejected,” manager the manager said. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

When asked about any further fallout from the incident, Moyes continued: “It ended right away, it was done, that was it, we progressed rapidly and it was all sorted within the dressing room.”

Third Story: Wissa Trains with Newcastle for Initial Session since Setback

The club's recent signing Yoane Wissa has practiced with his squad for the initial occasion since sustaining a knee problem soon after his arrival from Brentford in the autumn.

Head coach Eddie Howe confirmed the news on the end of the week but kept private a possible comeback timeline for the 29-year-old.

Newcastle brought in the forward for £55m to replace Alexander Isak, who moved to Liverpool for a British record sum.

Unfortunately, Wissa was injured while on international service before he could play his first game for Newcastle.

“He is progressing nicely, he trained with us for the first time on midweek, so I was really pleased with how he looked,” Howe stated. “It was his initial competitive session with the team. Let’s see how he responds today.”

The manager continued: “We have a target return date, but it’s likely best if I do not share it publicly. We don’t want to disappoint anyone. Naturally, we want to involve him as promptly.”

In other news, Kieran Trippier will be out of action for a month with a hamstring injury.

West Ham United manager Nuno Espírito Santo has claimed that Liverpool' current slump “doesn’t really matter” as his team gets ready to take on the ailing top-flight champions.

The Liverpool manager's side has suffered six losses in seven recent league games, falling out of the top 10 of the standings.

However, Nuno emphasized that there can be no complacency when the teams clash on Sunday at the London Stadium.

“The Reds are a strong team and in football, what matters is what you do on the day,” Nuno commented. “We are preparing to play the title winners, players that are skilled and capable of doing good things, so we have to be ready.

“The past of the results before, the performance of the teams, doesn’t really matter. It is about the day. Knowing that we are going to face a high-quality team, that has players capable of doing amazing feats, so we have to prepare thoroughly, to challenge.”

The Hammers will welcome back Lucas Paquetá after his suspension, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are stepping up their return from injury.

5. Gibbs-White Could Feature for Forest against The Seagulls

The club's manager Sean Dyche is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White will be fit for the team's home fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

The English player missed Thursday's Europa League match against Malmö due to a back injury.

“Fortunately, it seems to be calming down,” Dyche stated as he got ready to face the Brighton manager's side, who have secured seven points from their last three outings.

“It’s similar to a sore back, but a waking-up sort of injury, one where you just rest awkwardly or move improperly. So we’re not expecting, at this point anyway, that it’s too serious and it’s improving already. So we’re hopeful that it’ll be fine for the weekend.”

The defender was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring after the 3-0 European victory, but Dyche said the player “is expected to be okay”.

Meanwhile, Ola Aina (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), Dilane Bakwa (hamstring), Chris Wood (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are likely to miss out.

Sixth Story: Oliver Glasner: European Defeat Won't Set Back Palace

Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner feels that the setback of Thursday's Conference League loss to Strasbourg is a sign of how far the team has come in challenging on multiple fronts.
