Much like the recent storm hit the northern region the previous evening, Manchester City blew Manchester United away at the their home ground. It was a convincing 3-0 triumph for the City coach's side due to goals from Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a result that firmly established their championship potential as they consolidated their place at the WSL pinnacle.

Back-to-Back Losses for Manchester United

This result represented consecutive Women's Super League setbacks for Marc Skinner’s side for the initial occasion since May 2024, placing them a sizable gap off the league leaders with their championship aspirations severely dented.
