Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.

The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December.

The show will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being nominated for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more young females to get into cricket."
